Pink Pigs have claimed the Division 1 title in the inaugural Sevens Golf Competition at Darwin Golf Club with a hard fought 75-72 victory over The Sultans of Swing!

NT Terror recently won the Division 2 competition at Darwin Golf Club with a 77-73 victory over Trailer Park Boys.

 

Lasseters Hot Shots win Div 2 at Alice Springs GC

Lasseters Hot Shots lived up to their name in the Division Two Grand Final at Alice Springs Golf Club with a comfortable 77-70 win over Cunning Stunts.

The top four scores for the champions were, Max Cameron 19, Grant Souter 19, Reginald Vitler 19 and David (Max) Harte 20.

Unfortunately for Cunning Stunts they couldnt match it with the Hot Shots in the final match with their best four scores from Michael Shaw 16, Cody Goodwin 17, Robert Shaw 18 and Jarred Arnold 19 for a solid but not big enough total of 70.

Lasseters Hot Shots will now join Cujimi, Bionic Budgies and wildcard entry Around the World in the Champions League to begin on October 5.

 

Bionic Budgies win Div 1 at Alice Springs GC

Bionic Budgies have won the Division 1 Sevens Golf event at Alice Springs Golf Club with a one point victory over Harry Hosels 80-79. The Budgies didnt get off to a great start in the match with Paul Montefiore not registering a score and John Leerson scoring a best of 15 points in contrast to Darrin Smart (16) and Toby Lee (17) for Harry Hosels. The fifth best scores were equal with Darryl Wilson (Budgies) and Mark Stokes (Hosels) both scoring 18 points to set up a thrilling top four showdown.

Andy Rae got the Hosels one point in front as he scored 19 points, while Jim Lawrie scored 18 for Bionic Budgies. Scott Fuss scored 19 for Hosels for their side to stay one point clear after Bianca Gordon scored 19 for Bionic Budgies. Nick Hill scored 21 points for Bionic Budgies against Hosels second best scorer, David Rawnsley who scored 20 to make the match all square with only the best scores left for each team.

A 22 point haul from Greg Neck for Bionic Budgies was good enough to win the match and ensure that he would be MVP for the Grand Final, with Hilmar Floeth top scoring with 21 points for Harry Hosels giving the title to the Bionic Budgies 80-79.
