Round 5 has just been completed at the Darwin & Jabiru Golf Clubs with 118 rounds played.
After 5 Rounds in Division 1, Wacka Packas are alone at the top of the table on 10.5 competition points just ahead of Load of Croc on 10. Bawombats and Seven Up recorded a 74-74 draw last week with Bawombats doing it with just the minimum four players. Best for Bawombats was Peader Byrne with 22 points with Darren Chidgey and Matt Jong both contributing 18 and Ba Nyunt scoring 16. Seven Up had six players contest the round with the top four being, Mark and Juanita Holt with 19 points each, David Drenner and Dean Hutchinson both scoring 18 points. Load of Croc had a comfortable win over The Managers 85-55 after The Managers only fielded three players, the best being Troy Scott who was hung out to dry by his team mates with 23 points in a losing effort. Geoff Morris and Peter Burge both had 24 points for Load of Croc.
In Division 2, The Second Hole are leading on 10 competition points with Kakadu Hackers and 40 Love on 8 points. The Second Hole can thank Daniel Van Ras for their win last week after he top scored with 33 points, the next best for the team coming from Noel Murtagh on 19 points. Their opponents, The Rubbles however, failed to really threaten the scorer with their shining light being Wendy Schwerin on 19 points. There will hopefully be better days ahead for The Rubbles, just as there will be for Kakadu Golf Tours, who had an impressive 75-40 win over Mystery Men to move into 4th spot. Terry Collins and David Curtis top scored for Kakadu Golf Tours with 21 points each, while Tess Hennessey played anchor with a solid 19 points and John Bray scored 14.
