Darwin and Jabiru Golf Club's 2010 season hits Round 12 of 20 and the question at this point is, can anyone stop the rapidly improving games of Noel Murtagh & Nicole Curtis?
In Division 1, Bawombats are doing everything they can to try and lift themselves from the bottom half of the ladder, but they unfortunately came up against a very committed Wacka Packas side who are leading the competition, and Bawombats fell just three short of victory 78-75. Darren Chidgey led the way for Bawombats with 20 points and was backed up by Peader Byrne with 19, Matt Jong with 19 and Ba Nyunt with 17. Competition leaders Wacka Packas countered with thier best four players in Ian Lonnie 21, Diane Oxton 20, Juancho Irabon 19, and George Oxton 18. Fair Cracks are finally starting to have one at the halfway point of the season with what is probably their best total for the season in an 81-70 victory over Kantrimin. Dave Richardson was the best for Fair Cracks with 24 points and their total also featured scores from Greg Broadfoot 22, Hugh Richardson 19, and Alois Kissling 16. Trailer Park Boys continue their winning ways with a 76-69 win over Seven Up, while Load of Croc 34 were too good for DGC Grasscutters 0.
In Division 2, Kakadu Golf Tours produced the best team score of the round to defeat Kakadu Hackers 81-69. The win also propelled Tours above Hackers on the ladder, sending a clear message to their rivals heading into the latter stages fo the event. Kakadu Golf Tours rise to the top has coincided with the run of form enjoyed by Nicole Curtis, who is quickly proving to be the teams MVP as she led the side home with a 23 point score. Terry Collins 21, David Curtis 20, and John Bray 17 made up the rest of their 81 total. 40 Love have themselves entrenched in the Top 6 after a solid 78-49 win over The Rubbles with Antonio Senga topping the scoresheet with 23 points. Sexy Seven did well to win their match over NT Terror 58-31 and hold down fourth spot, while The Worm Burners and The Second Hole both won their matches after the opposition failed to score.

Noel Murtagh has been almost untouchable over the past month to again finish at the head of the field with 25 points. He didn't have it all his own way thought with Jo Thom producing her best round to score 25 points also. Dave Richardson must have felt he had done enough with his brilliant effort of 24, but it was to fall just one short.

Round 12 Draw:
This weeks match of the round in Division 1 is between the sixth placed Kantrimin and eighth placed Bawombats. While both sides are both languishing in the bottom half of the ladder, it shapes to be an important game for Bawombats especially who are three points shy of the Top 6 and need a win at this point to give themselves a chance later in the season.
In Division 2 the match of the round will see first place Kakadu Golf Tours play fifth place 40 Love. Both sides are coming off big totals last week and would love to back it up this week with another 80 point haul.
