Just two rounds remain in the Winter competition at the Parramatta Golf Club as teams jostle for a Top 4 position to make the finals playoffs...
In the Featon League, Phuckers were unable to hold on to a top 4 position after they were defeated by the narrowest of margins 69-68 at the hands of Lucky 7. This opened the door for The Probian's who duly accepted with a 74-58 win over Wild Things to forge ahead on the ladder into 4th spot. Elaine Wellard was the star for The Probian's with the top score of 21 points. David Happ contributed to the win with 19 points and was helped along by the 17 point efforts from both John maker and Lynne Paterson. The Domain Dodgers kept their hopes of a finals berth alive with a 69-59 win over Range Sluggers, while Odd Fellows succombed to the powerful play of Dirty 1/2 Dozen + a Pom 69-60.
In the Muggleton League Hog Boys held on to fourth position even after their loss against competition leaders Cousin 'IT' and Family 80-74. Todd Le-Grand was again the standout for Hog Boys after he scored 20 points in the match. The team is likely continue to lean on the experience of Le-Grand in their bid to make the finals playoff's.
